The Compaq Presario CQ56 is a reliable laptop with inspiring everyday performance. The laptop has a great balance of technology and excellent design and is a resourceful machine with a great price. The CQ56 series is powered by either the AMD Athlon or Intel processor, where either of the two processors delivers great value to budget conscious users.

One of the celebrated options of the Compaq Presario CQ56-111SA a classy matt-black plastic body with brushed aluminum hinges that give it a very rousing look. The body is durable and can withstand an incidental blow on hard surfaces. The laptop is easy to clean and attracts lesser scratches compared to shiny body laptops.

The laptop has a 15.6 inch widescreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel. The screen is highly valued for watching movies and displaying images in excellent pixel quality. The bright display projects vivid colors and is well suited for all types of media.

Typists will have a love affair with the CQ56’s keyboard. Enlarged keys allow snappy typing and reduce the incident of miss-typed letters. Although the keyboard is excellent, the touchpad is not a great feature in the laptop. A slight touch from your palm can move the cursor erratically and clicks odd icons when tapped. It is thus better to use the CQ56 with a optical mouse.

Loaded with an Intel Pentium T4500 processor and 3072 MB of DDR2 RAM, the Presario CQ56-111SA is the perfect choice when it comes to multitasking programs. It allows fluid processing and sustains no hiccups even when multiple programs are running. The same is not applicable for the graphical power though it might be good for streaming, watching DVDs and picture albums but it cannot be used for photo editing and internet games.

The battery life falls in 10th place when compared to numerous high end laptops. The Compaq CQ56 battery has a life of 245 minutes and follows MobileMark 2007 and 3DMark 2003 standards of quality. Loaded with an 802.11n Wi-Fi card the notebook has excellent connectivity to wireless internet and flawless browsing. There are three USB 2.0 ports able to read numerous media hardware like cameras, music players and smart phones. The charger for Compaq Presario CQ56 is included with the laptop and this is a standard 65W HP Compaq charger with the smart-pin technology.

The Presario CQ56-111SA delights the user with its prepackaged software including MS Windows 7, HP packages, Adobe software bundles and Microsoft Office Starters Pack. All in all the CQ56 is an inspirational choice for those looking to buy excellent features and high end performance in a limited budget.
