Riding the fermentation wave

Fermentation is an age-old food preparation technique using yeasts, bacteria and molds. We would not have bread, beer, kombucha, cheese, wine, vinegar, soy sauce, sauerkraut, pickles, kimchi, miso and yogurt without fermentation.

In recent years it became increasingly popular, especially with millenials, keen to learn a hot new way to make food that does not contain commercial preservatives. There are also those who think that fermented stuff is good for human bodies, easing digestion among other things.

Seeing this trend and being a foodie himself, Smart Parts product creator Alex Petrovsky decided to not stay behind and launched our own Kenley fermentation crock.

It is made of high-grade ceramic and comes complete with lid and weights, to help escape fermentation gases while keeping air out.

You can use it to create your own fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut, kimchi and pickles, to preserve and enjoy the flavors 365 days a year.

It is available now on Amazon in two sizes, 2 liters and 5 liters.
